DDCS ACE Program for Waiver Clients

The ACE Program is designed for individuals who receive waiver services through DSHS Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS). Through hands-on art activities and guided learning, participants build confidence, communication skills, independence, and meaningful community connections all in a safe and encouraging environment.

The ACE Program

The Arts Community Engagement (ACE) Program (for teens and adults) removes barriers and limitations to provide access to the visual arts to individuals with disabilities. Through this program, individuals with disabilities will learn about the visual arts and will participate in community exhibitions and/or special events.

Program Overview

The ACE program (Arts Community Engagement) offers individual, one-on-one virtual sessions guided by MOSA teaching artists. Each session is adapted to meet the participant’s abilities and goals, helping them:

  • Express themselves through creative activities
  • Develop life and social skills
  • Strengthen emotional awareness and coping tools
  • Feel more connected and supported

PROCESS

How Registration Works

The registration process is simple and supported every step of the way. Families submit a request, complete a few forms, and our team works directly with DDCS to coordinate approval. Once everything is in place, services begin and sessions are scheduled.
