Open Studio Respite
The Open Studio program provides an environment where individuals with disabilities can create the artwork of their choice. Each artist brings a vinyl table covering, sets up their own art materials and work along side other artists in a studio setting. The instructor provides mentorship and support in the art session as needed.
All skill levels welcomed! ($26 an hour Fee Waived) (Ages Teens to Adults) Weekly on SATURDAYS (Ages 6-12) on Fridays!
*If you require one on one support during session and for setup and clean up, then a caregiver or family member must accompany student during session.
program DESCRIPTION
ACE - Arts Community Engagement Program
The Arts Community Engagement (ACE) Program (for teens and adults) removes barriers and limitations to provide access to the visual arts to individuals with disabilities. Through this program, individuals with disabilities will learn about the visual arts and will participate in a community exhibition and/or special events.
(Ages Teens to Adults) (Virtual one on one program by appointment with onsite exhibition)
program DESCRIPTION
Lifeskills - Personal Empowerment Program
Achieve empowerment in the Arts and build self-esteem and confidence learning how to design, prepare and exhibit your work. Improve communication, social skills and interpersonal relationships as you create artwork and communicate your artistic achievements to others. (Ages Teens to Adults) (Virtual one on one program with onsite exhibition.)
PROCESS
How It Works
For individuals enrolled in DDCS, Open Studio may be fully covered as part of their approved services. This allows eligible participants to attend at no cost while still benefiting from guided instruction, creative exploration, and a supportive studio environment. It’s an easy way for families working with DDCS to add meaningful art programming into their care plan.
Register to Request DDCS
Families complete a short online form to request Open Studio under their DDCS plan.
Receive Confirmation
Once the request is submitted, a confirmation email is sent so families know the process.
Upload Required Documents
After registration, families receive a secure link where they can complete their forms.
