Teacher ACE (Arts Community Engagement) Program
The Teacher Arts Community Engagement provides an educational experience to assist special education teachers on best practices in implementing visual art programs back into their classrooms.
Special Education Teachers will work on:
- various art projects
- develop visual art lesson plans to educate the students in the classroom.
- Students will have an opportunity to engage with their community and participate in art exhibition to display their work from this program.
3 Month Program with 2 virtual sessions a month with student exhibition opportunity. Register at any time! (By Appointment)

PROCESS
How It Works
For individuals enrolled in DDCS, Open Studio may be fully covered as part of their approved services. This allows eligible participants to attend at no cost while still benefiting from guided instruction, creative exploration, and a supportive studio environment. It’s an easy way for families working with DDCS to add meaningful art programming into their care plan.
Register to Request DDCS
Families complete a short online form to request Open Studio under their DDCS plan.
Receive Confirmation
Once the request is submitted, a confirmation email is sent so families know the process.
Upload Required Documents
After registration, families receive a secure link where they can complete their forms.
